Our client, a leader in Online Payments Processing located in Malta are looking for a Manager of Software Development to guide, boost and be an all-round guru to a talented team of SW Engineer Team Leaders and SW Engineers.

Job Contect:
Managing the SW engineer functions in the development, release, and maintenance of SW applications in accordance to the needs of the business
Liaison with main stakeholders to guarantee that the product is built to meet the requirements of the client
Ensuring SW development standards and best practices are enforced at all times.
Preparation of Gantt charts, organizing timelines with Product Managers and Team Leaders to make sure successful and timely delivery of projects
Work with business analysts, developers, and project stakeholders to ensure that new projects and / or change requests are accurately (and realistically) summarised and estimated
Coordination and liaison with all resources involved to move projects forward
Anticipation and identification of any current or potential blockers that could threaten progress
Promotes a positive working environment as well as serving as a mentor to team leaders and developers
Determine and assess the need for additional staff and / or contractors and suggest the appropriate recruits
Requirements:
4+ years experience leading medium to large size technical teams
BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, ICT or related field
Ambitious, imaginative, results-driven with excellent motivation skills
Organized with excellent Project Management skills
Masterful with C, C++, HTML, JS, JQuery and Java
Spring framework technologies
Experience in Back-End technologies such as Tomcat, Groovy or httpd
An in-depth understanding of the Lifecycle and methodologies of SW Development
You will have worked in Linux operating systems
MySQL Database
Ability to translate technical issues into simpler language for other departments
