Computer consultant for an European project TELOTEC/ADAPT, where I was responsible for the analysis and development of a communications software between the various components of the transport chain, via EDI. The TELOTEC (Telematics, Logistic and Technology), was a transnational project, which involved the participation of several countries, such as Portugal, Germany, Italy and Greece. The Portuguese project had a strong innovative character, with the objective of communicating data concerning maritime export of goods between the various entities involved, via EDI. The importance of this project ensured the involvement of the port authorities and caught the attention of the General Management of Customs. After its completion the TELOTEC project evolved into EDI-SEA currently used in the Port of Leixões by APDL (port administration).

Project context:
Integration of customized orders generated in http://my.newfeel.com/ in VisualGest .net application. This integration creates an intakes technical sheet of the custom template and receives all the necessary information for shipping the finished product. The .net VisualGest allows you to track the production process and communicates the state of the stock of the various components by controlling their availability for the customization of the templates.

VGMobile
Project context:
The VGMobile application allows the real-time collection of documents on VisualGest 2000 from mobile devices with Windows Mobile. The devices communicate with the server through wi-fi network. The server runs a service for provision of data necessary for the filling of the document and subsequent update to the VisualGest 2000 databases after the conclusion of data introduction. This service is also responsible for issuing of printed evidence of the movements, e.g. invoice.

VGTeares
Project context:
Real-time registration of operating states of 60 tissue production looms. Through the serial port the application receives every second the state of looms, allowing to save their changes in the SQL Server database. The possible loom states are: shut down, stopped, breakage of weft, web breaks, end of production and operation. The analysis of these logs allows you to determine the rates of return on looms, the analysis of the yards of fabric produced, the issuance of the report of stops, etc. The application takes place around the clock 24/7 since the implementation

Project context:
Integrated application in VisualGest 2000 that allows for the registration of movements from a tactile point of sale system. Visual POS is configurable in terms of design of tactile screens with connection to the database of the VisualGest 2000. Visual POS enables the connection to scales and balances. The configuration of 1st and 2nd weighing movements and the weight discount processing of netweight and pallets, allow the Visual POS to be used in several companies of variable weight products, such as recycling as well as fresh products. The “tables” management module and using X64 terminals for recording of movements by the end customer allows for its use in restaurants.

Project context:
Management of documents inherent in the transport of waste. Collection and issue of the bills of lading (model A), cross-border bills and RCD bills. Analysis and data retrieval for subsequent submission to the Integrated System for Registration of the Portuguese Environment Agency (SIRAPA). Integration of waste transport documents with the collection of waste weighing and documents in VisualGest 2000.

VisualGest 2000
Project context:
E.R.P. of Commercial Management, consisting of Billing, C.R.M., Stock Management, Purchase Management, Order Management, Current Accounts and Call Accounting modules. There are also additional modules of Production Planning and Production Monitoring, Outsourced Management, Banking Management, Responsibilities Management, Vendors and Fees Management, Covenants, Communication and Data Transfer, E.D.I. Electronic Billing and Research Module configurable by the user.
The application interacts with various equipment such as scales, balances, customer display, barcode readers, terminals X64, Windows mobile devices that allow various forms of data entry. From the VisualGest 2000 it is possible to obtain all kinds of documents in these modules as well as shipping documents, labels, simple labels, labels of GS1 traceability EAN 128, issuing checks, issuance of bills of exchange, etc.
Together with its subsidiaries (VGAmbiente, VGAgendas, VGMobile, VGRecolha, Visual POS, Visual FTP and Visual Web applications), the VisualGest 2000 responds to a high set of management needs, allowing it to be present in companies of many different branches of activity.

TELOTEC / ADAPT
Project context:
The TELOTEC project (Telematics, Logistics and Technology) was a transnational project, which involved the participation of several countries, including Portugal, Italy, Greece and Germany. This project had a strong innovative character, having as objective the communication of data concerning maritime export of containerized goods cargo among the various entities involved, via EDI. The recognition of the importance of this project to the nation ensured the involvement of port authorities and aroused the interest of the General Directorate of Customs.
The TELOTEC allows the collection of data required for the export of goods at different levels of the logistics chain and its sharing and transmission between the various entities, from the producer to the shipping agent, freight forwarder, port authority and customs, with the issuance of the relevant documents to the respective intervener.
